It’s getting to that time of year when you need to start thinking about what you are going to do about your remaining end-of-year benefits from your job. These benefits are usually in the form of a flexible spending account (FSA) or a Health Savings Account (HSA). You choose how much you want to be put into your benefits account at the beginning of each year. Most employers advance it to you on a debit card, and you pay it back through payroll deductions for the rest of the year; some employers still use a reimbursement method, but the debit card is the most common way of accessing these benefits in our modern era.
