Blurred Vision Treatment

WHAT CAUSES BLURRED VISION?

Blurry eyes or cloudy vision can be caused by near or farsightedness, astigmatism, dry eyes, or the result of having a temporary migraine. More serious eye complications can contribute to cloudy eyesight such as cataracts, glaucoma, and retinopathy due to diabetes or double vision coupled with blurry eyes brought on by heart problems.

REGULAR EYE EXAMS CAN DETECT THESE SYMPTOMS

Getting routine eye exams is imperative in preventing vision loss and discovering eye issues before the symptoms become worse. During an eye exam, our optometrist will perform a complete evaluation of the patient’s eyes. We’ll check for any changes in vision and refractive errors and update prescriptions as needed. We also screen for common eye diseases such as cataracts, glaucoma, or macular degeneration.

After your optometrist collects all the information, we will discuss with the patient the best steps to take. These actions could include anything from altering the strength of a prescription to ordering new contact lenses. We may suggest follow-up appointments depending on if you are presenting any symptoms that need attention.
